Meet the Stermer Law Team
Kirby Crow,
Managing Partner
Kirby Crow Stermer is a managing attorney at Stermer Law alongside her husband, Charles “Chuck” Stermer. Kirby is a Lampasas native. She is the daughter of Wesley and Nancy Crow. Wesley is an electrical contractor, and Nancy is a retired school teacher. Wesley and Nancy are also Papa and Fancy to her two children, Coy and Wes Stermer. Coy and Wes attend school in Lampasas and keep Kirby busy after hours with baseball, a million “Momma watch me” moments, hunting, fishing, and those too-sweet hugs and kisses. Kirby comes from a long line of proud Lampasians and is proud to serve her community. She is committed to Central Texas.
Kirby played softball at Tarleton State University, where she met Chuck, who was playing football at the time. After graduating at the top of her field, she attended Texas Tech Law, where she graduated with honors. Kirby had the privilege of working alongside true professionals, where she worked on everything from multimillion-dollar civil litigation to murder cases before opening her own practice.
Kirby focuses on helping families. She wants to help you protect your family, money, and business and get you on to the next chapter of your life. Litigation can be an extremely daunting process. If you need some peace in your life, there is a problem out of your control, or you just need to know your options, come see Kirby and decide for yourself if she is the right attorney for you. Stermer Law has three locations in Central Texas and works next to one of the biggest military installations in the world. We tackle complicated jurisdictional issues and accommodate remote correspondence when necessary. We can accommodate you in person, by phone, or even by teleconference (ZOOM, Lifesize, etc.). We will try to take as much stress off you as possible and get you on the path of organization with your litigation and preparation. We hold ourselves to high standards in the courtroom and expect to be the most organized party to any litigation. This means we expect a lot of our clients in terms of communicating with us; however, we will walk you through every step.
We often help parties agree and facilitate agreements. Stermer Law will not run interference if the parties are on the same page. We are here to provide advice and protect you, but we are also here to help you find a peaceful resolution. When a peaceful resolution is not necessary, we are also more than willing to take on the challenge of extremely high conflict cases. We stay hypervigilant on each case, and if that means that we cannot take on your case at a particular moment, we will help refer you to someone who can. Contact Kirby and see how she can help.
Charles "Chuck" Stermer,
Managing Partner
Chuck Stermer is a managing attorney at Stermer Law and husband to Kirby Stermer. He is the proud father of two boys and loves coaching his children’s sports teams. Chuck also enjoys hunting, fishing, and all things outdoors.
Chuck received his undergraduate degree from Tarleton State University and his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law. Chuck was a letterman for the Tarleton State football
program and a 2009 Lone Star Conference Championship team member. Chuck was the honorary graduate of the Tarleton State College of Business and competed head-to-head against his wife, Kirby (the honorary graduate of the Liberal Arts College), to give the commencement speech for his graduating class. Chuck was victorious against Kirby for the one and only time in
his life and delivered a graduation commencement speech that is still talked about today.
At Texas Tech School of Law, Chuck, was again chosen to deliver the commencement speech for his graduating class. Today, Chuck’s speeches are primarily limited to ball field lectures, but you can still see the fire in his eyes through the memories of big stages long ago.
Chuck spent several years with the Coryell County Attorney’s Office before the formation of Stermer Law. He has a unique perspective on the practice of law due to his experience on both sides of the table. Chuck deals in many areas of the law, but his practice primarily focuses on estate planning, probate/estate administration, and business organizations. Despite spending most of his days discussing morbid topics, Chuck is full of life and loves to help people. Chuck is here to help you plan for the unexpected and to get you the most out of Granny’s estate.
Coy & Wes Stermer,
Document Control Specialists
Coy Allen Stermer and Weston “Wes” Lee Stermer are eight and six, respectively, and operate Stermer Law’s paper shredding machine. They are very handsome and won’t hesitate to regale you with heroic stories regarding hunting, fishing, baseball, and playground shenanigans. They are absolutely terrible employees and will shred anything within site. No document is safe. They run in the office, they wrestle, and they steal all the good candy. But they sure are just so cute, and despite being fired over and over, they keep showing up to work. We love them with all our hearts, and we run this business as a family for them. We want to be successful for them, and we consider ourselves monumentally motivated to help our clients because we have our boys to answer to.
Camri James,
Senior Paralegal
Stermer Law’s Senior Paralegal, Camri James, is a Hamilton native who graduated from Hamilton High School in 2013. Camri graduated from Texas A&M University-Central Texas in 2022 with her Bachelor of Science Liberal Studies Cum Laude, with minors in Business, Sociology, and Psychology. This was NO small feat. Camri worked full-time while attending school and raising a family and did not miss a beat in either area of her life. But that’s Camri—if she decides it needs to be done, you can bet the farm it will get done. Camri has been a paralegal for nine years and has been with Stermer Law since its grand opening in March 2020. Camri enjoys helping others through the most difficult times of their lives and understands how stressful the process can be. Stermer Law commonly calls Camri The Fixer, and for good reason. Camri is a problem-solver, plain and simple. She earned her Senior Paralegal status by finding incredibly creative solutions over and over again. We are honored to have her by our side, and we believe that you will feel the same way.
Camri is the proud wife of Andrew “Andy” James, who was born and raised in Gatesville, Texas. Together, they have three girls, Gemma, Jolee, and Jada. When Camri is not working, you will find her spending time with her family, attending as many A&M sporting events as she can, enjoying the outdoors, or chasing her little ones around. Come see Camri at the office and watch her in action.
Vanessa Conger,

Vanessa was recognized in the Lampasas Best of Best, receiving the Certificate of Distinction for Stermer Law in the 2024 Reader’s Choice Awards in the Lampasas County area.
When she isn’t at Stermer Law, Vanessa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, golfing, boating, and exploring new eateries and wineries in Texas.
Vaness is a truly valued member of Stermer Law. She is compassionate and will shoot you straight. Vanessa is a joy to work with, and her attention to detail and ability to help clients compartmentalize when the legal process can appear truly daunting. Sometimes, the hardest part of the legal process is where to start, and Vanessa is absolutely instrumental in helping to organize clients. And, let’s be honest, the attorneys that work here. Come see Vanessa, bring her a large cappuccino, and prepare yourself for the organization she is going to bring to your life.
Samantha Galindo,
Document Retention Specialist
Stermer Law’s Document Retention Specialist, Samantha Galindo, grew up in the small town of Hamilton, Texas, where she graduated from Hamilton High School in 2002. Samantha has resided in Gatesville, Texas for the past 16 years, where she has raised her four children, Braxton, Saylor, Camden, and Aerabella, and enjoys being called Glammy by her three grandbabies, Remy, Colt, and Lainey. Samantha has over eleven years of experience as a legal assistant and has been working for Stermer Law for the past two years, where she enjoys helping others in the most difficult and happiest times of their life.
When Samantha is not working, you will find her spending time with her loved ones, attending her children’s sporting events, enjoying nature, hiking, swimming, and cheering on her favorite baseball team The Texas Rangers.
Sam is incredibly meticulous and earned her title of Document Retention Specialist for a reason. She is tasked with the incredibly tedious task of working through complicated exchanges of discovery, which is the process of exchanging discovery during litigation. She will aggressively comb through important documents, looking for anything helpful that clients might have missed. Sam brings an invaluable service to Stermer Law. Come see Sam, bring her a cup of coffee with all the sweetner, or better yet, a ranch water , and talk to her about how to take advantage of your exchange of evidence to the full extent possible.
Kady Crow
Kady Crow is a native of Lampasas, Texas, and is proud to be back in her hometown. Kady is a former collegiate softball player who spent time attending college and playing softball at McLennan Community College, Texas Tech University, and Tarleton State University. After receiving her bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University, Kady began her coaching career where she coached at Llano High School, Hamilton High School and Stephenville High School.
When she’s not at Stermer Law, you can find Kady giving softball lessons to the youth in the surrounding areas. Working with young athletes is her greatest passion and she loves to give back to the community by sharing her knowledge and experience. Kady also enjoys bow hunting, riding roller coasters, and cooking.
Kady is one of the newest members of the Stermer Law team and is known around the office as Miss Utility. Her job description ranges from answering phones to complex trial preparation.
Kady loves to work hard and play harder. She’s loud, outgoing, and has never met a stranger. Whether you’re trying to get on her good side or if you’ve made her mad, you can almost always win Kady over with a white claw. But please proceed with caution because “there ain’t no laws when she’s drinking white claws”.
